Hi, I'm Robert Duffie
Founder and owner of TurfGuard Lawn Care.
For more than 15 years, I've dedicated my career to landscaping, lawn care, and turfgrass management.
What started as a passion for creating beautiful, healthy lawns grew into a lifelong profession built on education, hands-on experience, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
My background combines both real-world field experience
and professional turfgrass education. I am a Turfgrass Science major at Penn State University and have completed the NC State University Turfgrass Short Course Certification Program. Throughout my career, I've continued to invest in advanced turfgrass education, earning numerous continuing education credits focused specifically on lawn health, weed management, fertilization, disease control, and overall turfgrass maintenance.
I am proud to hold both a North Carolina Pesticide License and a North Carolina Landscape Contractor License, allowing me to provide professional services backed by industry knowledge, proper training, and state-recognized credentials.
At TurfGuard, we believe lawn care should be based on science—not guesswork. Every treatment plan is designed to promote long-term lawn health while delivering results homeowners can actually see.
What Makes TurfGuard different?
When I'm not working with lawns, I'm a proud husband to an Army veteran and father to four amazing daughters. Family means everything to me, and that same commitment, integrity, and work ethic carries over into how I serve every customer.
